Nisha Ganatra, who made a huge impression with the comedy Late Night at the Sundance Film Festival, is directing the pic from a screenplay by Flora Greeson. Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner will serve as producers, while executive producer duties will be held by Alexandra Loewy.

Ice Cube is also in negotiations to star in The Killer’s Game alongside Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy). The film is an adaptation of the Jay Bonansinga novel of the same name about a hitman (played by Bautista) with a terminal disease who puts a bounty on his head as a means of ending his life. Once he finds out he was misdiagnosed, however, the hitman must protect himself and the woman he loves from ruthless assassins, led by Ice Cube.
