Angus Wall Takes on Empire

Angus Wall, the editor who has been working with David Fincher since 2002’s Panic Room, is set to make his directorial debut with Empire, says a story at The Hollywood Reporter.

Although no story details have been revealed, Empire is scripted by Source Code screenwriter Ben Ripley and the trade likens the tone to a mix between Safe House and The Usual Suspects.

Of his five creative partnerships with Fincher, two have earned Wall Academy Awards for editing. He received Oscars for his work on both 2010’s The Social Network and 2011’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

Mark Gordon is producing Empire through though The Mark Gordon Company.
