Nearly two weeks before the film’s June 7 U.S. theatrical release date, fans and members of Fandango VIP, Fandango’s free-to-join rewards program, can get a first look at the film at select AMC Theatres, Regal Cinemas, Cinemark Theatres, Marcus Theatres, Harkins Theatres, Southern Theatres, National Amusements, B & B Theatres, Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas and at many more theaters. More than 1,200 theaters nationwide are participating in Fandango’s exclusive screenings.

“We are thrilled to work with our partners at Universal and Illumination to provide families with early access to Illumination’s ‘The Secret Life of Pets 2,’ one of the summer’s most-anticipated movies,” says Fandango President Paul Yanover. “Our Early Access Screening program has been a hit with moviegoers, with previous screenings generating great buzz for ‘How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World’ and ‘Shazam!,’ and our upcoming ‘Rocketman’ screening already seeing brisk ticket sales. We think Fandango VIP members will be delighted with the special perk of seeing Illumination’s ‘Pets 2’ two weeks before its release date.”

Voted in a recent Fandango survey by more than 3,500 film fans as one of the most anticipated animated movies of 2019, Illumination’s The Secret Life of Pets 2 is directed by Chris Renaud, who also directed the first movie. The Secret Life of Pets 2 continues the story of Max (Patton Oswalt) and his pet friends – including Duke (Eric Stonestreet), Snowball (Kevin Hart), Gidget (Jenny Slate), Chloe (Lake Bell) — and introduces new cast members including Tiffany Haddish, who plays a fearless Shih Tzu named Daisy, and Harrison Ford, in his first animated film role, as a veteran farm dog named Rooster.

Tickets for the film’s June 7 wide release are on sale now at Fandango.
