Fantastic Beasts 3 Release Date Delayed Until November 2021

Warner Bros. Pictures has announced that Fantastic Beasts 3 has been delayed a year and will open on November 12, 2021. Production is scheduled to begin in spring 2020.

Eddie Redmayne will reprise his role as Newt Scamander in the film, with Johnny Depp confirmed to return as well as the villain Grindelwald.

“J.K. Rowling created an awe-inspiring universe that has captivated people of all ages, taking us on an extraordinary magical journey. Warner Bros. is so proud to be the cinematic home of the Wizarding World and is excited about the future of the ‘Fantastic Beasts’ franchise. We look forward to bringing the third chapter of the five-film series to audiences around the globe in November 2021,” said Ron Sanders, president of Worldwide Theatrical Distribution and Home Entertainment of Warner Bros.

The previous film in the Harry Potter prequel franchise, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, earned $653 million at the worldwide box office.

The first two Fantastic Beasts movies were directed by David Yates, from a screenplay by J.K. Rowling, and produced by David Heyman, J.K. Rowling, Steve Kloves and Lionel Wigram.
