Davis was a janitor who became head coach of the lackluster basketball team at Arthur Smith Junior High School in Alexandria, Louisiana when the program was under serious threat to get cut. Davis teaches his kids the priorities of life, and inspires them to be more whilst guiding them on a remarkable run to the state championship.

The film will be directed by Kevin Rodney Sullivan (How Stella Got Her Groove Back) from a script by Randy Brown and Gregory Allen Howard.
