Hugh Jackman & Rebecca Ferguson reunite for action film Reminiscence
According to Deadline, Warner Bros. has just picked up the worldwide distribution rights to the action-thriller Reminiscence, which has tapped Hugh Jackman (Logan) and Rebecca Ferguson (Mission: Impossible — Fallout) to star. The project marks the second collaboration between the two stars, who previously shared the screen in the 2017 musical The Greatest Showman. Westworld‘s Lisa Joy has penned the script and will direct the film.
Reminiscence will follow the story of Nick Bannister (Jackman), a private investigator who deals in recapturing vivid cherished memories for clients. His life will completely change when he meets a mysterious client (Ferguson), who he madly fall in love with. But one day, the woman suddenly disappears leaving Nick completely lost. When he decides to search for her, he discovers different aspects of her personality that he didn’t know before.
The film will be set in the near future where Miami has been changed by global warming. Joy will alsoproduce along with Jonathan Nolan, Michael De Luca and Aaron Ryder. Principal Photography is scheduled to start in New Orleans and Miami this fall.
Ferguson will next be seen in Men in Black: International opposite Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson, and in the upcoming The Shining sequel Doctor Sleep. Jackman recently appeared in the political biopic The Front Runner.
