The BFF comedy 1 Night in San Diego casts its 3 leads
The Penelope Lawson comedy just cast its three lead actresses. Alexandria Daddario (Baywatch, True Detective) has joined the cast of 1 Night in San Diego alongside Jenna Ushkowitz (Glee) and Laura Ashley Samuels, Deadline is reporting.
The film is being produced by Pink Revolver Pictures, Metropolitan Entertainment, Pierce Cravens, Rowan Russell alongside Lawson, who is also making her directorial debut. Nic diPierro is co-producing. Production on the comedy is currently underway and is expected to continue through the end of the month.
The film follows three best friends who embark on a road trip to pursue a romantic connection, but their travels put their friendship to the ultimate test. In addition to directing, Lawson also wrote the script. She’s previously produced and written a host of short films like Numb and Wilde Eastern.
Eric Nelsen (The Bay), Adam Rose (Veronica Mars), Mark Lawson (One Life to Live) and Kelsey Douglas all round out the cast.
Daddario is set to star in the adaptation of Can You Keep a Secret?, based on the New York Times bestselling book by Sophie Kinsella, as well as the Satanic-themed We Summon the Darkness. Samuels recently wrapped filming on the short film Neon Lines from writer/co-director Barrett Brent Stokes.
