Sam Raimi to produce big screen adaptation of Behind
Sam Raimi is returning to his roots. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the director of such famed horror classics as The Evil Dead and Drag Me to Hell will produce a feature length adaptation of the short film Behind for Lionsgate.
Per the report, the film will be based on Angel Gomez’s short about a recently divorced woman who suddenly begins to fear for her baby daughter’s life, a fear that is exasperated after a creepy woman at a party proclaims she is being followed. Fearing her premonitions are turning to reality, the woman does everything she can to save the child from the oncoming evil.
Raimi will produce the pic via his Ghost House Pictures along with Robert Tapert, and Scott Glasshold’s production company Ground Control.
This will be the latest horror endeavor by Ghost House Pictures and Lionsgate after the two companies joined forces to produce films such as The Grudge and the recent hit Don’t Breathe.
