Kimberly Peirce Takes The Brand

Kimberly Peirce, the director of Boys Don’t Cry, Stop-Loss and the upcoming Carrie, has signed on to direct The Brand, based on a 2004 New Yorker article by David Grann.

First drafted by Ric Roman Waugh (Snitch) and subsequently rewritten by Alessandro Camon (Bullet to the Head), the film follows U.S. Attorney Gregory Jessner and his prosecution of more than 40 off the top leaders of the Aryan Brotherhood prison gang.

Anthony Mastromauro and Danielle Pelland are attached to produce through Film 360, Identity Films and Entendre Films.
