Monday is described as a classy-looking film that will focus on Chloe and Mickey, two self-destructive Americans, living across Athens and the Greek islands who will be involved in an intense romance. When Chloe’s time in Greece is drawing to a close, she decides to give up her high-flying job back home and explore whether one weekend’s passion can stand the reality of the inevitable Monday.

The film will be directed by Greek director Argyris Papadimitropoulos (Suntan). The script is co-written by screenwriter-playwright Rob Hayes (This Will End Badly) and Papadimitropoulos.

“The story of Mickey and Chloe is an unflinching and fun take on the romantic relationship of two people, who crave each other but are also hindered by the baggage each brings to the table. Sebastian and Denise were perfect for the roles, they embraced Athens like locals and inhabited Mickey and Chloe with passion and fearlessness. Monday is both a celebration of bigger-than-life romances, and a love letter to my city.”  Papadimitropoulos said in an interview with Deadline.
