Hellboy Star David Harbour Joins Chris Hemsworth in Dhaka

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Stranger Things star David Harbour has joined the cast of Dhaka, the new action thriller from producers Joe and Anthony Russo. Harbour will play another mercenary with his own personal intentions in the movie, which is currently shooting in India and Indonesia.

Harbour joins Chris Hemsworth in the film, which deals with a young boy who becomes a pawn in the dangerous underworld of weapon dealers and traffickers. Into this deadly narrative drops Tyler Rake (played by Hemsworth), a “broken man” who launches a suicide mission to save the boy — a mission rendered all the more appealing due to Rake’s own personal death wish.

The film is being produced by Netflix. Joe Russo has written the script while Sam Hargrave, known for his stunt work in multiple MCU movies as well as small roles in action films such as Atomic Blonde, will be making his directorial debut with the film.

Harbour has appeared in numerous films, but hit superstardom after his breakout turn in Netflix’s hit Stranger Things series. The actor recently wrapped filming on another high-profile project, a reboot of Hellboy, in which he plays the titular comic-book hero for director Neil Marshall.
