Human Capital Adds Maya Hawke, Peter Sarsgaard & Betty Gabriel

Following the recent casting of Academy Award-winning actress Marisa Tomei, Deadline reports that Stranger Things star Maya Hawke has been tapped to join in director Marc Meyers’ forthcoming film adaptation Human Capital, based on Stephen Amidon’s 2005 novel of the same name. In addition to Hawke, Peter Sarsgaard (Boys Don’t Cry, Jarhead) and Betty Gabriel (Get Out) have also been cast for the film.

Human Capital is a family drama about families who help each other in order to chase their American Dream. The films will follow the live of two families belonging in two different social economic status: one middle class and one privileged. These two groups of people’s lives will intertwine across the social divide when two of their children suddenly begin a relationship that leads to a tragic accident.

The cast includes Marisa Tomei (My Cousin Vinny, Spider-Man: Far From Home) as Carrie, Alex Wolff (Hereditary) as Ian and Golden Globe nominated actor Liev Schreiber (Spotlight, Ray Donovan) as Drew, who’s also set to serve as the film’s producer through his Illuminated Content banner.
