Hugh Jackman on X-Men: Days of Future Past and Beyond

Hugh Jackman is on the cover of the new Hollywood Reporter and the feature story talks about him again playing Logan in The Wolverine, for which he reportedly is making $20 million. He tells the trade he is not committed to any more films in the franchise after X-Men: Days of Future Past, however.

Regarding “Days of Future Past,” Jackman says he “first heard about it around October or November [2012]. I was literally finishing ‘The Wolverine’ and dreaming about lasagna, and about three weeks before the end, they told me.” The role is large and will reunite him with many of the original cast. “There was no way I was not going to be part of that.”

He added that he has not read the finished screenplay and has only seen a synopsis of about eight pages long.

The trade notes that shooting on X-Men: Days of Future Past will start in mid-April in Montreal. After that, Jackman wants to be home with his family in New York’s West Village for a while.

The Wolverine is coming on July 26 and X-Men: Days of Future Past is scheduled for a July 18, 2014 release.
