The film, which will be directed by Lussier and is written by him and his frequent collaborator Todd Farmer (Drive Angry, My Bloody Valentine), will follow a small town as they fight against an elusive serial killer who gruesomely murders people in different jurisdictions with seemingly no relation between them. Mulroney will portray a detective who’s faced the titular killer once before, but despite everyone telling him he shot and killed him once before, he doesn’t believe he’s dead.

Trick is set to be produced by Ellen Wander for Film Bridge International, who will also handle the international sales for the film, alongside Gabriela Lugo for Revek Entertainment.

Lussier is known for his work in the horror genre, having created the Dracula film series that ran from 2000 to 2005, beginning with Dracula 2000 starring Gerard Butler in the lead role followed by the two direct-to-video sequels, as well as the 3D action-horror pic Drive Angry starring Nicolas Cage and the 2009 horror remake My Bloody Valentine.
