CS Video: Arnold Schwarzenegger and the Cast of The Last Stand

This Friday, Arnold Schwarzenegger makes his triumphant return to the big screen with The Last Stand, his first leading role in a decade. The action film also marks the English-language debut of Korean director Kim Jee-Woon (A Tale of Two Sisters, The Good, The Bad, The Weird) and features a cast that also includes Forest Whitaker, Johnny Knoxville, Rodrigo Santoro, Jaimie Alexander, Luis Guzmán, Eduardo Noriega, Peter Stormare and Genesis Rodriguez.

Schwarzenegger plays Ray Owens, a former LAPD officer who has decided to settle down as Sherriff of a quite border town called Sommerton Junction. Little does Owens realize that his town is about to become the last line of defense against escaped fugitive and vicious drug lord Gabriel Cortez (Noriega). As Cortez races to the border in a high-speed Corvette ZR1, Owens enlists the help of local residents to prepare to stop Cortez by any means necessary.

ComingSoon.net sat down with Schwarzenegger, Knoxville, Santoro, Whitaker and Alexander to discuss the film, Arnold’s big screen return and working with the incredibly stylized vision of Jee-Woon. Schwarzenegger also recalls some of his classic catch-phrases and offers a lesson in how to properly say lines like, “It’s not a tumor!” and “I lied.”
