7 Days in Entebbe Daniel Brühl, Rosamund Pike and Eddie Marsan star in this true story of the commercial flight hijacked in 1976 and diverted to an abandoned terminal at Entebbe Airport in Uganda, with terrified passengers becoming bargaining chips in a deadly political standoff.
The Cured Ellen Page headlines this interesting take on the zombie genre, where a cure is found for those transformed into the flesh eaters. However, will society accept the cured who try to reintegrate into society?
Another Wolfcop This sequel to the 2014 Canadian horror comedy finds lycanthrope crime-fighter Officer Lou Garou (Leo Fafard) a year after his transformation out to once again save the small community of Woodhaven. This time there’s a villainous entrepreneur (Yannick Bisson), a new mayor (Kevin Smith) and the new chief of police (Amy Matysio). The Blu-ray features a making of doc, as well as cast and special FX featurettes.
The Last House on the Left One of the most important films in the shaping of modern-day horror, Wes Craven’s brutal 1972 revenge flick is getting the red carpet treatment from Arrow Video in this gorgeous 3-disc release. In the box set you’ll find a disc that includes the original unrated cut with a short and funny intro by the late Craven, who calls it the closest to his vision. Disc 2 includes the Krug & Company cut as well as the R-rated cuts, with a third disc that’s a CD of the original soundtrack. There’s also a gorgeous fold-out poster with both the original theatrical art and a flipside with the disc’s cover art. If that wasn’t enough, there’s also a think booklet containing an illustrated essay by Stephen Thrower. As for the movie itself, it has a certain amount of grain you would associate with any grindhouse release of that era, but overall looks and sounds better than any print or other home video release you’re ever likely to find.
The Mountain of the Cannibal God Shameless has put out a new, 2K restored Region 2 Blu-ray of Sergio Martino’s trashterpiece starring Ursula Andress and Stacey Keach, in which a white woman ventures into the New Guinea jungle in search of her scientist husband who’s vanished.
