Interview: The Woman in Black Director James Watkins

With The Woman in Black opening in theaters today, director James Watkins takes a decided departure from the remorseless and shocking tone of his last directorial effort, Eden Lake (an early Michael Fassbender film), for something a bit more classical.

Instead of depicting a film in which adults are terrorized by angry, lethal kids (as he had done in Eden Lake), he turns the tables and puts children in harm’s way as his latest effort – a Hammer production – tells of a vengeful ghost that preys on the youngsters of a small English village. Caught up in this supernatural mystery is Arthur Kipps, played by Daniel Radcliffe.

ShockTillYouDrop.com spoke with Watkins earlier this week about the film. You can read the interview by clicking here!
