CS Video: The Grey Director and Cast

Reuniting with his A-Team director, Joe Carnahan (Narc), Smokin’ Aces), Liam Neeson returns to theaters this Friday as the star of The Grey, a survivalist thriller that blends a modern day Jack London tale with an existential meditation on human conflict.

Leeson plays Ottway, a man haunted by a past romance that has driven him to the desolate cold of the Alaskan wilderness and surrounded him with similarly tortured souls. When his plane goes down in a snow storm, Neeson and a few survivors are left not only victims of the Earth’s cruelest elements, but also prey to a pack of hungry wolves intent on picking off the group one by one.

Written by Carnahan alongside Ian Mackenzie Jeffers from his own short story, “Ghost Walker,” The Grey also stars Frank Grillo, Dermot Mulroney, Dallas Roberts, and James Badge Dale.

ComingSoon.net spoke with Carnahan and his cast about the multi-faceted story and the process of shooting against the same unforgiving elements that the characters themselves have to face.
