Wonder Woman History: A Look Back at Diana Prince

Let’s look back at Wonder Woman history in anticipation of her solo film

The upcoming Warner Bros. film Wonder Woman will mark the first time the superhero has been in a starring role on the big screen. Gal Gadot played the role in her first live-action film appearance in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and on June 2, she’ll return in a starring role. Wonder Woman, a.k.a. Diana Prince, is an Amazon, born (from clay and her mother Hippolyta’s wishes, or from Hippollyta and the god Zeus, depending on which story you read) on the hidden island of Themyscira. She goes to Man’s World and becomes a superhero, fighting alone, as well as alongside the Justice League.
