CS Video: The Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 2 Director Francis Lawrence

Interview with The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 director Francis Lawrence

Possibly one of the most impressive things about The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2, the finale of the movie franchise based on Suzanne Collins‘ bestselling series of books, is that it represents the third movie in as many years directed by Francis Lawrence, who took over from Gary Ross with 2013’s The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

In the epic finale, Jennifer Lawrence’s Katniss Everdeen and Liam Hemsworth’s Gale Hawthorne lead an elite task force to take the war to the Capitol and Donald Sutherland’s President Snow, while unsure whether Josh Hutcherson’s Peeta can recover from his programming by Snow’s men that’s turned him against Katniss.

At the Berlin junket for the film, ComingSoon.net had a chance to talk with Mockingjay Part 2 director Francis Lawrence about the evolution of the characters and how the actors have evolved with them and recreating the large-scale traps from Collins’ book. You can watch the interview in the video player below.
