A "Charlie’s Angels" reboot is headed to the big screen. The new film takes the detective agency premise of the original television series and turn-of-the century movies and takes it global, with the Townsend Agency now a worldwide security and intelligence service that has teams around the planet. The movie will focus on one of those teams and the next generation of Angels.
The original show focused on three women who worked as a team of private investigators, receiving their orders from the mysterious Charlie Townsend (voiced by John Forsythe, but whose face was never revealed). In 2000, a feature film was released starring Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu. That film also turned out a 2003 sequel, "Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle."
