Mnet’s I-Land 2 episode 6 will mark a new chapter for the contestants. The global voting will begin after the episode ends, meaning viewers can save their favorite participant and ensure their entry into part two of the mission.
The second season of Mnet‘s I-Land is more competitive than its first edition. Already, viewers have seen the elimination of four contestants so far. In episode 5, two participants, Kang Jiwon and Nana, bid goodbye to the show after scoring the lowest among others, 69 and 72, respectively.
I-Land 2 episode 6 shares preview of part two featuring twelve participants
K-pop survival reality show I-Land 2‘s episode 6 will air on May 23, 2024, at 8.50 p.m. KST, 7.50 a.m. ET, 12.50 p.m. BST, and 4.50 a.m. PT on the Mnet K-pop YouTube channel. This episode will mark the beginning of a new mission among the 18 contestants, from which only 12 will survive.
As per the preview, 12 rookie I-Land 2 members who qualify for part two of the show will get two chances. First, producers will select six I-Land and Ground team members to proceed to the next mission. Then, global votes will save six more candidates from elimination.
Currently, there are 12 members on the I-Land 2 team and eight on the ground team after the unit battle. Per the preview, each I-Lander will first face a Grounder, deciding whether to stay in I-Land or move to Ground in the next 1:1 mission.
Then, the next mission will feature a new song, “I Will Always Love You,” produced by YG’s famed artist Teddy. Fuko, one of the participants of I-Land 2, contributed to the songwriting after winning a particular challenge.
After the latest mission airs, fans can vote for all the remaining contestants through the M+ Mnet Plus website, entering the I-Land 2 zone. Also, voting will begin on May 23 at 11 p.m. KST and end on May 30 at 11:59 p.m. KST.
Per the voting, the subsequent elimination will likely occur on June 6, after the current contestants get to perform. Currently, the members of the Ground include Kim Minsol, Oh Yuna, Kim Gyuri, Kim Chaeeun, Choi Soul, Park Yeeun, Son Jiwon, and Um Jiwon. Six ground members who moved to I-Land from the unit battle feature Sarang, Yui, Bang Jimin, Nam Yuju, Yoon Jiyoon, and Kim Sujung.
