I-Land season 2 episode 5 trailer reveals face to face match preview
Korean reality show I-Land 2 episode 5 will be aired on May 16, 2024, at 8.50 p.m. KST, 7.50 a.m. ET, 12.50 p.m. BST, and 4.50 a.m. PT on Mnet K-pop. The episode will unveil the unit test results between I-Landers and Grounders.
So far, vocal teams from both the I-Land and Ground groups have performed. Jung Eun and Fuko of the I-Land team performed Taeyeon’s “Fine.” Meanwhile, Min Sol and Yoon Ji Yoon performed Taeyang’s “Eyes, Nose, Lips” in front of the singer. Both units won judges’ hearts by delivering sentimental performances, but the ground unit ultimately won the vocal round, scoring an extra point.
Following the vocal stages, dance units performed a mix-and-match of two genres of songs. I-Landers performed (G)I-DLE’s “My Bag” and EVE’s “Eve, Psyche & the Bluebeard’s wife.” Grounders will perform a fiery stage of BTS’ “MIC Drop” and Kiss of Life’s “Sugarcoat” next.
In episode 5, both creative teams from I-Land and Ground will show their choreography skills on Lady Gaga’s famous single, “Rain On Me.” Once the performances are over, judges will announce the results, which could send nine grounders to the I-land team and nine current safe participants to the elimination round.
As per the preview of the upcoming episode, up to three participants can be eliminated at the end of the Mnet show’s unit round. After the current round, the remaining contestants will get another chance to secure their spots through a face-to-face round. Instead of team results, a grounder will face an I-lander individually to be safe from elimination.
