South Korean rapper Sik-K reportedly turned himself into the police on April 29 for a drug abuse case. Later, the legal representative of Sik-K released a lengthy statement denying specific allegations from his drug case.
Rapper Sik-K, aka Kwon Min-Sik, is alleged to have been using drugs in January. As per Korean media reports, the rapper turned himself in but was found in a state of delirium. The report further added that the police sent the rapper to the nearest protection center as he was speaking ‘gibberish.’ Later, he was sent to the Seoul Western District Prosecutors’ Office without detention on possible accounts of violating the Narcotics Control Act.
Rapper Sik-K releases statement regarding drug abuse and meth consumption allegations
Show Me The Money season 4 star Sik-K’s legal representative responded to the drug allegations of the rapper. He clarified that when the rapper visited the police station in January, he was not under the influence of drugs.
The statement explained: “The client (Sik-K) was hospitalized from January 15, 2024, to January 18, 2024, and underwent surgery under general anesthesia for treatment of a shoulder rotator cuff injury sustained while serving in the military. During the surgery, the client was administered psychotropic drugs such as Propofol and Lidocaine and other general anesthetics for anesthesia. From the surgery until discharge, the client was administered painkillers containing ingredients such as tramadol to relieve pain and sleeping pills for sleep disorders.”
The legal rep also denied the Korean artist’s consumption of Meth. The statement said: “Sik-K has surrendered to charges of simple possession of marijuana and smoking and is admitting to these charges. No Philopon (a form of methamphetamine) component was detected in Sik-K’s hair test results submitted during the investigation.”
Earlier, Sik-K talked about his complex surgery in an Instagram post. He informed fans of his rotator cuff injury in his shoulder while serving in the Korean military system. The rapper postponed the surgery from October 2023 to January 2024 and successfully went through it without complication.
