Rising K-pop stars BoyNextDoor will be making their comeback after one year of their debut. The group made waves with their debut album, resulting in record-making sales. So, the comeback of the K-pop rookies is highly anticipated.
BoyNextDoor made their official debut on May 30, 2023, with the release of the first album, Who! Before their debut, the K-pop trainees released two music videos for singles “But I Like You” and “One and Only” on May 23 and May 26, respectively.
Backed by HYBE Label’s promotion on YouTube, the group’s debut album led to massive success. The group’s cheerful tunes and easy-to-sing tracks went viral in Korea, ranking five on the Circle Album chart with over 91,080 unit sales.
BoyNextDoor shares comeback plans
KOZ Entertainment’s rookie group BoyNextDoor is confirmed to make their comeback in April 2024. All members of the group- Sungho, Riwoo, Jaehyun, Taesan, Leehan, and Woonhak will participate in the comeback preparation.
Before their comeback, BoyNextDoor shared joyful photos of their Lunar New Year celebration. Along with donning traditional outfits, mandatory for the occasion, the K-pop rookies participated in a cooking-theme-styled photoshoot where members posed with different cooking tools.
The group also regularly takes part in fun TikTok challenges. Lee Han and Woonhak recently invited Aespa’s Karina and Winter to join in their “Fun Sometimes” trend, which sent fans into a frenzy.
Before their official return, the group has also snagged multiple awards and nominations with their debut project. BoyNextDoor won the Global Rising Artist trophy at the Melon Music Awards 2023. They also snagged the Global Hottest Award at The Fact Music Awards, 2023.
Moreover, the K-pop act snagged two major nominations at the biggest K-pop award show of the year- Mnet Asia Music Awards, including Worldwide Fans’ Choice Top 10 and Best New Male Artist. Additionally, they were also longlisted for the Artist of the Year category.
After an epic debut, BoyNextDoor raises high expectations for their next comeback in 2024.
