BTS members RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook are all set to fulfil their mandatory military service duties. On Tuesday, December 5, 2023, BTS’ agency, BIGHIT MUSIC, confirmed the news by releasing an official statement on Weverse. They will be enlisting in the army as active-duty soldiers.
Following Jin, Suga, and J-Hope, the remaining BTS members—Jimin, V, Jungkook, and leader RM—will now be enlisting in the South Korean military service. In their new official statement, BIGHIT MUSIC requested fans to refrain from visiting the site of the training camp entrance ceremony for the recruits.

BIGHIT MUSIC recently revealed details about BTS’ V, Jimin, RM and Jungkook’s military enlistment on Weverse. The agency wrote, “Thank you to the fans who always love BTS. We would like to provide follow-up information regarding the military enlistment of RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook.”
The statement further read, “RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook are enlisting as active-duty soldiers in the Army to fulfill their military service obligations. RM and V are scheduled to enlist according to their own procedures, and Jimin and Jungkook are scheduled to enlist together, so there will be no separate official event on the day of their entry into the recruit training center.”
It continued, “The new recruit training camp entrance ceremony is an event attended by many soldiers and their families. To prevent safety accidents due to crowding at the site, we ask that fans refrain from visiting the site. We ask that you only give a warm send-off and encouragement to RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook with your heart. Please be careful not to suffer damage from various tours or package products that use artist IP without permission. We plan to take corresponding action against commercial activities that use artist IP without permission.”
The statement ended with a request. BIGHIT MUSIC asked BTS’ fans, ARMY, to continue their support and love for the four artists until they safely complete and return from their mandatory military service.
