BTS member Suga (Min Yoongi) has invited yet another K-pop idol to his upcoming Suchwita episode. Suchwita is a talk show, hosted by Suga, where he invites various South Korean artists to pour their heart out. The artists not only talk about their projects, but also about their lives and the people in it.
Episode 20 of Suchwita will feature Taemin from the popular second-generation group SHINee. In a new preview video, the two K-pop idols talk about being born in the same year, 1993. They also bond over their newfound friendship as well as the differences between Suga being the elder and Taemin being the youngest of their groups.
Suchwita, hosted by Suga, featuring Taemin, will air on Monday, October 30, 2023.
SHINEE’s Taemin wants to get close to BTS’ Suga in Suchwita
Episode 20 of Suchwita will feature SHINee’s Taemin as he bonds with BTS’ Suga over a multitude of things. In a preview clip, Suga welcomes the SHINee member as they pour drinks for each other and engage in conversations. Suga respectfully calls Taemin a “senior artist,” as they cheer to the beginning of their friendship.
Taemin expresses his desire to have a friend born in the same year as him, while Suga notes that there aren’t many singers born in 1993. Taemin also reveals that he heard about Suga through fellow BTS member Jimin, so he already feels an affinity towards the rapper.
The two idols discuss what it feels like to be at different positions within the group. Suga talks about being one of the elder members of BTS, while Taemin discusses being the youngest. The latter reveals that all his mistakes are forgiven just because he’s the maknae (youngest member of the group).
The duo joke around about the differences in solo vs. group promotions. Meanwhile, Suga reflects on BTS’ 2025 reunion. By the end of the preview, Suga asks if Taemin feels closer to him. The SHINee member says, “I’m starting to want more,” indicating that he does want to get close to Suga.
