Big Mouth is a crime thriller K-drama featuring Lee Jong-Suk and Girls’ Generation’s Yoon-A. Jong-Suk plays Park Chang-Ho, a lawyer who, since childhood, is called ‘Big Mouth’ as he can only talk big. On the other hand, Yoon-A plays Go Mi-Ho, his loving and caring wife and a nurse by profession. Because of Chang-Ho’s low competence, the Mayor hires him for a case but gets caught in a corrupted mess. He gets framed as the mysterious ‘Big Mouse’ and sent to jail.
The story further unfolds and more corruption comes to the surface. Chang-Ho’s wife Mi-Ho comes into the picture to prove her husband’s innocence. She can go to any extent for him. However, in the meantime, Mi-Ho gets diagnosed with lymphatic cancer. So, what happens by the end of the drama? The series has clarified all of the curiosity while keeping an open ending to it. Big Mouth: Is it a happy or a sad ending?
Big Mouth is a big tear-jerker. The series will leave the viewers crying and gasping for air with every episode towards the end. Spoilers ahead. In the finale episode of the drama, it is clarified how Mi-Ho got her cancer. When she started investigating details about all the corruption to help her husband, she was exposed to the fish farm’s wastewater which was induced with NK Chemicals. On the other hand, at the court, Chang-Ho tries to get to the mayor, Choi Doha’s neck. He calls the cryptocurrency scam artist. In the meantime, Soontae brings Mi-Ho to the stand who proves fish farm’s wastewater scam and declares her terminal illness.
Protests start to buzz regarding Choi-Doha’s withdrawal from the election. But he doesn’t budge. Because of insufficient evidence, he doesn’t get punished. And even though Chang-Ho’s team exposes his corruption, he somehow manages to win the election and becomes the mayor once again. However, amid all of these, Chang-Ho and Mi-Ho express their love for each other while Mi-Ho spends her days on her deathbed in the hospital. Mi-Ho dies leaving Park Chang-Ho (Lee Jong-Suk) with nothing to lose anymore. He approaches Choi-Doha.
By the end of the episode of Big Mouth, when Chang-Ho confronts Choi-Doha, he shows no guilt for his work. Slowly, Chang-Ho reveals that he has mixed the radiated wastewater into the pool water where Doha was swimming. Doha coughs blood while being shocked. NK Chemical gets banned. On the other hand, Juhee who was sent to the mental asylum gets rescued and the gold is found. Juhee later confirms that there is a link between the NF9 development process and the growing rate of cancer in Gucheon. The drama ends on a positive note with Big Mouse donating that gold to the orphanage.

The ending of the drama will leave the audience hanging with a lot of questions. It shows Chang-Ho visiting his wife Mi-Ho’s grave, but will Park Chang-Ho reconsider being Big Mouse? After Kang’s death, will his serial killer son make an appearance?
