TvN’s ongoing K-drama, Lovely Runner is growing in popularity among the viewers. Featuring Byeon Woo-Seok and Kim Hye-Yoon in the lead, the drama is about time-slip redemption. The actors have garnered attention by portraying their onscreen chemistry. However, they have quite a friendly offscreen chemistry, too. The rom-com drama is based on a famous web novel. The storyline revolves around a popular star, Ryu Sun-Jae (Byeon Woo-Seok), and his passionate fan, Im Sol (Kim Hye-Yoon). When Sun-Jae faces a tragic death, in a mysterious turn of events, Im Sol travels back in time to 2008 to save her bias. How she will save him and how things will pan out will be revealed slowly in the drama.

In a video interview with Elle Korea, Byeon Woo-Seok and Kim Hye-Yoon opened up about their first impressions of each other. Hye-Yoon revealed, “He was familiar. It didn’t feel like I was seeing him for the first time, but rather like a neighborhood brother I knew.” She continued, “My first impression and the image of him as a wise man have not changed.”
On the other hand, Byeon Woo-Seok said, “She smiled a lot and was pretty, so she was like a younger sibling from the neighborhood. I remember my first impression being bright, so I thought much of the energy was good. There were many enjoyable moments on set.”
Woo-Seok and Hye-Yoon have a height difference. While discussing how the difference was curbed in Lovely Runner, Byeon Woo-Seok said, “Apple boxes were always installed, or the camera was always very high.” Explaining how Hye-Yoon always wears high shoes, she shared while laughing, “I always had to wear high shoes. And sometimes I suddenly get surprised. Why is it so big?”
