Parasyte: The Grey Leads Netflix’s Non-English Top 10 Series Category

Netflix’s recently premiered K-drama Parasyte: The Grey is creating much buzz within a few days of its release. It has ranked highest in Netflix’s Top 10 (non-English) series category. Based on the manga series by Iwaaki Hitoshi, the thrilling K-drama is about parasite-like creatures taking over the human brain making them hosts.

The storyline revolves around a girl named Jeong Su-In (Jeon So-Nee) who somehow adapts to co-exist with her parasite. On the other hand, a team called The Grey works to eradicate these parasites. The drama is about how their story unfolds and how the characters evolve.

According to Netflix’s Top 10 website, Parasyte: The Grey has recorded 6,300,000 views since its release on April 5, 2024, as stated in MK Sports. Within three days, the K-drama ranked first in the non-English series category. It is receiving rave reviews from all over the world and is getting global recognition. Besides Korea, Malaysia, and the Philippines, the series ranked in the Top 10 list in 68 countries, including Argentina, Japan, India, and New Zealand.

Movie Web stated, “Great characters and a perfectly structured plot make ‘Parasyte: The Grey’ even more thrilling.” While India Today reviewed it as, “It induces emotions, and Koo Kyo-Hwan’s acting also deepens the narrative.” The actors’ brilliant direction and outstanding performances make the drama’s storyline so vivid and real. All of the episodes are out now. Once the viewers start watching it, they won’t be able to stop without finishing it. It has a lingering effect.
