KBS2’s upcoming K-drama Beauty and Mr. Romantic, featuring Ji Hyun-Woo and Im Soo-Hyang, is already creating quite a buzz. K-netizens and global fans are already giving rave reviews about the series. Now, the director of the drama talked about the reasons why this series needs to be watched.
Hong Seok-Goo is directing the drama, while Kim Sa-Keung is penning it. The storyline of the series revolves around an actress, Park Do-Ra, who hits rock bottom after facing an incident. On the other hand, there’s a hard-working producing director, Go Pil-Seung. When Do-Ra (Soo-Hyang) goes through a rough patch in her career, it’s Pil-Seung (Hyun-Woo) who helps her get on her feet again.
However, they have a connection from their childhood. When they were young, Do-Ra and Pil-Seung were friends, but at that time, his name was Go Dae-Choong. Do-Ra had confessed her feelings to Dae-Choong, who then rejected her, saying they would discuss this when they turned 20. But things change when they grow up.

I have many good memories with writer Kim Sa-Kyung, and I am preparing with great joy to produce another good work.” The director added, “I want to tell a story about how powerful love can be. I plan to deliver a message about the power and value of love in the process of overcoming the difficulties that the characters will face.”
Hong Seok-Goo further explained, “I am preparing with the idea of capturing interesting stories of ordinary people who can easily be found around us and living in squabbles with each other. I think I can convey great sympathy and comfort.”
