tvN’s upcoming K-drama Lovely Runner is already making quite a buzz among the audience. The constant teasers and new drama pictures keep the viewers excited about it.
Lovely Runner is a drama written by True Beauty writer Lee Si Eun, which is based on a famous web novel. Fans are already going gaga over Kim Hye-Yoon and Byeon Woo-Seok’s chemistry, and the new posters highlight their relationship dynamics.
The storyline revolves around Im Sol (Kim Hye-Yoon), a young woman who is an ardent fan of Ryu Sun-Jae. Sun-Jae (Byeon Woo-Seok) is a famous South Korean star. However, when he meets with a tragic incident – death, in a mysterious turn of events, Im Sol goes back in time to save him. This time-slip series is now one of the most highly anticipated dramas.

tvN drops new pictures from Lovely Runner on their official Instagram account. In the first photo, Im Sol throws herself on Ryu Sun-Jae with a gesture of never letting go. Sun-Jae gives a shy smile for the picture. Im Sol even flaunts a headband with the name Sun-Jae on it. The caption reads, “From now on, I’m going to stay right by your side and protect you!”
However, in the other photo of Lovely Runner, Im Sol and Ryu Sun-Jae enjoy a few ‘us’ moments. In the first scene, Kim Hye-Yoon holds out a yellow umbrella over Woo-Seok’s, while in the next, he protects her from rain with a blue umbrella. The caption says, “No matter what, I’m going to protect [us]! Both you and me!”
As we get to see a glimpse of the time when Im Sol travels 15 years back, the production team of Lovely Runner describes the situation. The team says, “The umbrella poster captures the turning point in Ryu Sun Jae and Im Sol’s romance, which jumps 15 years in time. “It will be fun to compare the difference between the real 2008 and 2008 to which the 34-year-old Im Sol travels after going back 15 years in time.”
They even request that the fans enjoy their chemistry as it travels from past to present and the future. Lovely Runner is set to premiere on April 8, 2024, at 8:50 pm KST on Viki. Stay tuned.
