Lovely Runner K-Drama: Is it Based on a Webtoon?

Lovely Runner is one of the highly anticipated K-dramas right now. Starring Kim Hye-Yoon and Byeon Woo-Seok in the lead, the drama is a fantasy rom-com as it shows time travel.

The drama’s storyline revolves around a young girl, Im Sol (Kim Hye-Yoon), and a star, Ryu Sun-Jae. The series shows how big a fan Im Sol of Sun-Jae is. When he dies, in a mysterious turn of events, she gets transported 15 years back. How she goes to all extents to save her favorite star is all the K-drama is about.

tvN’s Lovely Runner is based on a web novel, The Best of Tomorrow, by Gimppang. Boo Sung-Chul, Yoon Jong-Ho, and Kim Tae-Yeong are directing, and True Beauty writer Lee Si-Eun is penning the series.

Byeon Woo-Seok plays Ryu Sun-Jae in tvN‘s drama. He is a popular celebrity whose life looks perfect from the outside. However, in reality, he is exhausted all the time. Suddenly, he meets with a tragic death. This news devastated his biggest fan, Im Sol (Kim Hye-Yoon). However, in a mysterious turn of events, she goes back in time to when Sun-Jae was 19 years old. She confronts Sun-Jae. They form a deep bond that will blossom into love. But how she averts the situation and changes his destiny is what we’ll discover after watching the episodes.
