Midnight Studio Starring Kwon Nara and Joo Won: Everything To Know about the ENA K-Drama

ENA‘s upcoming K-drama Midnight Studio‘s premiere date is almost around the corner. Starring Kwon Nara and Joo Won in the lead cast, the series is a fantasy-based rom-com. Directed by popular director Song Hyun-Wook, fans can expect a tsunami of emotions from this drama.

The storyline of this highly anticipated drama revolves around a photographer, Seo Ki-Joon (Joo Won). He works at a mysterious photo studio that is solely made for deceased people. On the other hand, there is Han Bom (Kwon Nara), who is a competent lawyer. She becomes a legal advisor for the dead people in the studio. How they meet and form a team along with Go Dae-Ri (Yoo In-Soo) and Baek Nam-Gu (Eum Moon-Suk) will be disclosed once the drama premieres.

Midnight Studio is headlined by Joo Won, Kwon Nara, Yoo In-Soo, and Eun Moon-Suk. But apart from them, there are other supporting cast members in this drama.

Joo Won plays Seo Ki-Joon, the photographer who continues his family legacy of clicking pictures of dead people to help them cross over. Ki-Joon’s mysterious photo studio only works for the deceased stuck between life and death. However, there’s a catch. Every man in his family dies at the age of 35. As he approaches that age, anxiety takes over his head.

Next is Kwon Nara, portraying Han Bom. She is immune to ghosts and can enter places like Seo Ki-Joon’s studio. Han Bom is a competent lawyer, but after a certain turn of events, she is facing a slump. Later, in Midnight Studio, she becomes a legal advisor of the dead people.

Yoo In-Soo plays Go Dae-Ri in the drama. He dies of overworking and becomes a ghost with a special power. He can get into a human body for 10 minutes. Dae-Ri is tasked to bring ghost customers into the studio.

Last but not least, Eum Moon-Seok portrays Baek Nam-Gu. His character helps the others to take care of the studio. He also has a special power of telekinesis. Now, how Nam-Gu uses it in the series is what viewers can look forward to.

Midnight Studio: Trailer

Ever since ENA announced the drama and the script-reading pictures, they went viral, and fans have been waiting for the trailer. The viral video shows how the actors teared up during their script-reading session. The trailer just heightened everyone’s expectations. Now, everyone is waiting for the series to premiere. The audience is quite excited to see Kwon Nara and Joo Won together. Their chemistry has already been teased in pictures and videos.

Talking about the experience of working with these actors, Kwon Nara shared with Allure Korea, “We always eat together and video call each other. The four of us—Yoo In Soo, Eum Moon Suk, Joo Won, and me—are the people who usually gather at the photo studio. This is my first time being this close with fellow actors. It’s so nice to talk to each other a lot and work on our chemistry together.”

Midnight Studio: Release date and time

The K-drama is slated to release on March 11, 2024, at 10 p.m. KST. It will run till April 30, 2024. For now, the series will air on ENA and Genie TV. There is no confirmation on which streaming service will take the rights for the series. Midnight Studio will have 16 episodes.

Even though the storyline is set against a fantasy backdrop of the afterlife and ghostly creatures, the series will surely take viewers on a journey of an emotional rollercoaster ride. Every character will tell different stories, giving quite a lot of dynamics in the series. They will focus on their fears and desires and will confront them during the process.
