Doctor Slump episode 10: Park Hyung-Sik, Park Shin-Hye begin their relationship afresh

The latest Doctor Slump episode 10 began with Yeo Jeong-Woo and Nam Ha-Neul reflecting on their recent life changes and how they differed from when they were fully committed to their work. The scene shifted to the present when Jeong-Woo saw Ha-Neul accompany him in the operating room, helping him heal from his PTSD and medical trauma. Although he completed the operation successfully, he wasn’t fond of how Ha-Neul saw him falter with anxiety.

After the operation, Jeong-Woo told fellow plastic surgeon and senior Bin Dae-Young that he wouldn’t continue operating until he got better. He also expressed concern about Ha-Neul helping him when their high school teacher paid a visit. He reminisced about his two top students as they headed out for lunch. Although he came in for a consultation, Jeong-Woo advised that he looked great as he was now. The teacher also recalled the duo’s rivalry in high school.

Jeong-Woo apparently made an excuse to stop Ha-Neul from eating chili peppers to keep herself awake. After the teacher left, Ha-Neul expressed her desire to help Jeong-Woo. However, he made it explicitly clear that it was selfish of her to support him when she didn’t allow him to support her and decided to break up.

Ha-Neul’s brother, Nam Ba-Da, told her that Jeong-Woo’s apartment lights were switched on at night. Thinking it was Jeong-Woo, Ha-Neul ran upstairs only to find Dae-Young. He handed her the leftover items she had left at the hospital. Meanwhile, the following morning, Ha-Neul’s friend, Lee Hong-Ran, had to bring her son to the hospital with her because there was no one to take care of him. Dae-Young advised them to help her, and she had a great time with her son.

Hong-Ran was happy to see her son have the time of his life with Dae-Young. She then received a call from a friend inviting her to senior Min Kyung-Min’s wedding. When she offered to bring Ha-Neul, she discovered why Ha-Neul left the hospital. Jeong-Woo overheard their conversation and asked Hong-Ran what it was about. She revealed that Kyung-Min took credit for Ha-Neul’s work and bashed her to gain a professor spot.

Enraged with Kyung-Min’s behavior, Jeong-Woo went to confront him. When Kyung-Min showed no remorse for his actions, Jeong-Woo punched him, leading to an intense altercation. The following morning, Ha-Neul discovered everything her mother had done to make herself feel better. She thanked her, realizing the importance of silent support. She called up Jeong-Woo, but he ended up visiting her.

Although Ha-Neul grew concerned over his bruised face, Jeong-Woo apologized for not knowing about her struggle with Kyung-Min. As she nursed him, he apologized for not being there for her through her issues. However, Ha-Neul made him realize the importance of his role in her life. The two blew off steam by dressing up and dancing in a club. When a man approached her, Jeong-Woo somehow managed to shoo him away.

After their time at the club, Ha-Neul revealed that she began to see similarities in their journeys and thought they could get better together. Before leaving, Ha-Neul revealed that their high school teacher had indeed come for a consultation about a lump on his back. However, he played it off as a consultation for his face because he overheard the nurses talking about Jeong-Woo’s trauma and didn’t want to pressure his student.

However, Jeong-Woo decided to tend to his teacher and agreed to operate on him. He said he now had a reason to get better for Ha-Neul. The following day, they completed their teacher’s surgery. Moreover, Jeong-Woo had additional encouragement from the Crocs gifted by Ha-Neul ahead of the operation.

The hospital staff, along with Jeong-Woo, Ha-Neul, and Dae-Young, celebrated with drinks for Jeong-Woo, successfully overcoming his anxiety with surgical instruments. Then, they played a game where a selected person needed to choose a question and answer it. Ha-Neul received the first question, which asked if she was in a relationship. She declined. Jeong-Woo got the second, which asked him about his last kiss. He said it was around ten years ago.

After the celebration, both Jeong-Woo and Ha-Neul discussed the questions. Jeong-Woo then asked if he was still her ex-boyfriend. The scene cut to a flashback of when the two shared a kiss while Ha-Neul nursed Jeong-Woo’s wounds after his fight with Kyung-Min. At the end of the episode, they shared another kiss on the rooftop, cementing their relationship.
