Captivating the King Episode 7 trailer teases Jo Jung-Suk getting angry at Shin Se-Kyung

The previous episode of Captivating the King ended with King Lee In catching Myung-Ha embracing Mong-Woo. For context, the latter returned to Lee In’s life to seek revenge on him. Myung-Ha is the only one who knows that Mong-Woo is Hee-Soo, whom he previously wanted to marry.

tvN recently shared the trailer of Captivating the King Episode 7, featuring Jo Jung-Suk’s character getting angry at Mong-Woo. The trailer begins with the King catching the two hugging each other. When they see Lee In, they are scared and surprised.

King Lee In narrates in the video, “The story in itself is trivial, but it is rather strange.” Mong-Woo explains his and Myung-Ha’s relationship to King Lee. The baduk player says, “The Sixth Royal Secretary [Myung-Ha] and I do not share a bond worth repairing.” For context, Myung-Ha forged a false confession of Mong-Woo three years ago, claiming that Lee In was a traitor.

The trailer further shows Lee In’s furious side as he plays a game of baduk with Mong-Woo. He accuses Myung-Ha of intending to form a “strong bond” with Shin Se-Kyung’s character. The next scene features Myung-Ha looking for the baduk player.

While Mong-Woo’s actions continue to bother the King, the officials get suspicious of the player’s intentions. Meanwhile, Mong-Woo/Hee-Soo asks Myung-Ha to stop having any kind of feelings for her and points out that the King is suspicious of their closeness.

The trailer for the K-drama’s upcoming episode ends with Lee In stating that he will protect Mong-Woo at all costs this time. Three years ago, the baduk player was almost killed because of the King’s order.

Captivating the King airs new episodes every weekend on Netflix and tvN.
