In episode 6, Crown Prince Sajo Hyeon (Park Ji-Hoon) becomes the new king after Kyera agrees to stay by his side. However, the queen demotes her from his concubine to a maid, making her suffer for her decision. The lead characters now face the consequences after they decide to return to the palace in the previous episode. Despite hardships, the two fulfill their respective duties for the betterment of the kingdom. However, new circumstances may come between Kyera and Saco Hyeon.

Love Song for Illusion episode 7 begins with new King Sajo Hyeon (Park Ji-Hoon) holding his first royal court. He seems distressed as he has visions of his late father calling him “half-wit.” Seeing his condition, Sajo Yung and other officials make fun of him in their private meetings and try to find ways to ignore his commands. The queen’s father and one of the officials warn the king not to show his weakness at the court. He advises Sajo Yeong to listen to him, but the king knows how cunning his father-in-law is.
Sajo Yeong also struggles to find a permanent solution to get rid of his alter ego, Ak-Hee. He tries to find the shaman who earlier locked up Ak-Hee, but his search is in vain. On the other hand, the queen makes Kyera (Hong Ye-Ji) suffer at the palace. Sajo Hyeon tricks his guards and sneaks into Kyera’s chamber at night. He helps her sew clothes and share some heart-fluttering moments. Sajo Hyeon realizes that he likes her while she feels the same way.
The queen finds out about the lead characters’ little reunion and plans to set them apart. Meanwhile, the king’s guard finds the shaman and asks him to lock up Ak-Hee for good. But the shaman finds a threatening note left by Ak-Hee and tricks the king. He makes Sajo Hyeon fall asleep when he visits his clothing store. For those unaware, the king runs a clothing boutique in secret since he loves to sew clothes.
Love Song for Illusion episode 7 ending: Ak-Hee learns Kyera likes Sajo Hyeon
In Love Song for Illusion episode 7, Sajo Hyeon and Kyera (Hong Ye-Ji) seem to have made many rivals. While Sajo Yung brainstorms to dethrone the king, the queen plans to set Sajo Yeong and Kyera apart.
She manages to send a message to the king that the royal physician has advised the couple to share a bed at night. However, Sajo Hyeon declines the offer and leaves the palace. When Kyera finds out, her heart flutters and she rushes to find Sajo Hyeon.
While he is at his boutique, things get complicated as the shaman makes him fall asleep. When he wakes up, Ak-Hee takes over his body. Kyera arrives at the store and asks if he refuses to sleep with the queen because of her. Assuming the person in front of her is Sajo Hyeon, she seems happy with his decision.
However, Ak-Hee feels betrayed and heartbroken when he realizes Kyera has developed feelings for Sajo Hyeon. He doesn’t tell her that he is not the king. He then taunts her by agreeing to share the night with the queen.
