Meanwhile, Baek-Du’s parents become concerned about him after his outbursts in public. In the previous episode, he yelled at townspeople for gossiping about someone without verifying the facts. He blamed them for the incident that happened to Du-Sik 30 years ago.
The next day, Du-Sik seems distracted due to Baek-Du’s confession. While she denies feeling anything for him, her junior, Hyun-Wook, points out that she is blushing. When she meets Baek-Du at the wrestling training center, things get awkward between the two. She then asks him when he started liking her, and he says 30-31 years. The two end up laughing and teasing each other. Baek-Du’s friend and his wrestling coach, Kwan Jin-Soo, sees the pair and wonders if something is going on between them.
Before Jin-Soo arrives at the center, Seok-Hee tells him that he is suspicious of Baek-Du and Ms. Yu-Gyeong’s relationship. He mentions that Dong-Yoon’s character kept referring to her as Du-Sik when she first came to town. This makes Jin-Soo wonder if she is really their childhood friend.
Meanwhile, Hyun-Wook is reluctant to let Baek-Du join their investigation. After a drunken night, he surrenders and unwillingly lets him help them. They learn that the real culprit is someone from the town.

In Netflix‘s Like Flowers in Sand episode 10, Baek-Du’s friends—Jin-Soo and Seok-Hee—get suspicious of his and Yu-Gyeong’s relationship. As they are not aware of Yu-Gyeong’s real identity, they assume that Baek-Du is having an affair with a married woman.
However, Jin-Soo realizes that the woman is indeed Du-Sik. But Seok-Hee is not convinced and keeps saying that Du-Sik is ugly. They spot Baek-Du and Du-Sik entering Mi-Ran’s cafe at night. Seok-Hee insists on catching them red-handed and asking the truth.
At the cafe, the lead characters, along with Mi-Ran and Hyun-Wook, discuss Chil-Seong’s case. Before they begin a serious conversation, Seok-Hee and Jin-Soo barge into the cafe. While Jin-Soo keeps silent, Seok-Hee mentions that he wants to clarify the confusion with Du-Sik. He says that she was their “ugly” childhood friend who used to act like boys. When he continues snarky remarks, Du-Sik gets angry while others try to keep her calm.
Finally, Du-Sik opens her mouth and says to Seok-Hee, “You really haven’t changed one bit. You always ran your mouth cluelessly until I beat some sense into you.” Seok-Hee realizes she is Du-Sik and gets scared. Like Flowers in Sand episode 10 ends with her running behind Seok-Hee to beat him up while others try to stop the commotion.
