KBS shared the Love Song for Illusion Episode 1 trailer ahead of its premiere. Starring Park Ji-Hoon and Hong Ye-Ji, the K-drama is a new series that deals with alternate personalities.
Park Ji-Hoon plays Crown Prince Sajo Hyun, who suffers from childhood trauma because of his oppressive father. He has a dual personality named Ak-Hee, a carefree and independent fashion designer. He works downtown, where nobody knows he is a royal. Hong Ye-Ji essays the role of Yeon Woo, a successor from a noble family who turns into an assassin named Gye-Ra to avenge her father’s death.
The latest trailer for the premiere episode shows the first encounter between Gye-Ra and Ak-Hee. Watch the video here:

Love Song for Illusion Episode 1 trailer begins with Yeon Woo (Hong Ye-Ji) disguised as Gye-Ra peeking into Ak-Hee’s shop. In the clip, both characters do not meet each other in their original personalities.
While peeking from Ak-Hee’s shop’s roof, Gye-Ra falls. Her leg gets stuck and she hangs upside down as Ak-Hee gives a shocking expression. He shouts at her, asking who she is. Gye-Ra falls on him, creating a romantic atmosphere around them.
KBS also released a few photos from the upcoming episode. The pictures seem to be from a scene from the palace, featuring Crown Prince Sajo Hyun holding an unconscious Yeon Woo.
Love Song for Illusion Episode 1 release date and time
Love Song for Illusion Episode 1 will air on Monday, January 2, 2024, at 10.10 p.m. KST on KBS2. It will also stream on Viki. The synopsis reads, “A fantasy historical drama romance that crosses between a man with two opposite personalities and a woman who loves him—fresh love and fierce obsession.”
The main cast of the historical romance comedy drama includes Park Ji-Hoon, Hong Ye-Ji, Ji Woo, Han Eun-Sung, Hwang Hee, Kim Tae-Woo, Woo Hee-Jin, Kang Shin-Il, Hwang Suk-Jung, and Woo Hyeon.
Love Song for Illusion will air on Mondays and Tuesdays on KBS and Viki.
