BTS members have always been faithful to their ARMY (their fans) and shared their favorite K-dramas in several interviews. Let’s find out some of the BTS-recommended K-dramas.

All the seven Bangtan enlisted boys have repeatedly admitted that they love watching television. At the same time, Jungkook and J-Hope seemed to prefer romance dramas like Crash Landing On You and Twenty-Five Twenty-One, and V and RM like thrillers, such as Squid Game and Sweet Home.

While the boy band is serving their time in the military, fans can binge-watch their preferred Korean series. Take a look at BTS’s recommended K-dramas to watch right now.

Squid Game

Squid Game is one of the most popular Korean dramas released in 2021. It is Kim Taehyung, aka V’s favorite drama. He donned the guard’s costume during BTS’ Permission To Dance performance in LA.

The concept of the Oscar-nominated series revolves around a strange game of 456 players. The participants are vulnerable people in debt who join the game thinking they will win a whopping cash prize. Well, they are not wrong!

The prize money is 45.6 billion won (over $38 lakh), but there is a twist. The player who wins a challenge proceeds to another level and the loser gets killed. The K-drama will return with Season 2 next year. The show is available on Netflix.

Sweet Home

Sweet Home is Song Kang’s popular drama, which has recently returned with Season 2 on Netflix. It is another BTS-recommended K-drama. In a livestream, RM mentioned the show being his favorite.

Sweet Home is the story of Cha Hyun-Soo, who moves to an apartment complex. He wants to die by suicide but changes his plans after a virus attacks the city. He and his neighbors try to survive the apocalypse.

Business Proposal

Business Proposal is also a BTS-recommended K-drama. Golden singer Jungkook shared in an Ask Me Anything (AMA) post that he follows the series. It is a romance comedy office drama starring Ahn Hyo-Seop, Kim Se-Jeong, Kim Min-Kyu, and Seol In-Ah.

The story revolves around Shin Ha-Ri, whose life changes after she goes on a blind date in place of her best friend. She meets business tycoon Kang Tae-Moo, who proposes a marriage contract. Ha-Ri wants to get out of the fake date with Tae-Moo as he is her boss at work. However, he doesn’t know that, and thus, a series of hilarious moments occur as she tries to hide her identity.

Crash Landing On You

Crash Landing On You is every K-drama lover’s favorite show. BTS J-Hope is one of us. He mentioned in a VLive that he loved the series and wanted to experience something similar. Starring Hyun Bin and Son Ye-Jin, Crash Landing On You is a love story between North and South Korea.

Billionaire successor Yoon Se-Ri lands in North Korea after a paragliding accident. Captain Ri Jeong-Hyeok keeps her safe and helps her to cross the border. During this time, the two fall for each other.

Itaewon Class

Itaewon Class is another BTS-recommended K-drama. It is V’s favorite because the series stars his best friend and Wooga Squad’s leader, Park Seo-Joon. Also, Taehyung has sung the OST “Sweet Night.”

The popular K-drama is about ex-con Park Sae Ro-Yi, who wants to open a street bar. Along the journey, he makes friends who help him climb the success ladder. Ro-Yi dreams of beating the multi-billionaire company and its CEO. They are responsible for his father’s death.

Aside from the Netflix shows above, there are a few more BTS-recommended K-dramas. Some include Sky Castle (RM, Jin, Suga) and Kingdom (Jimin). The most-loved boy band will return in 2025 as a group.
