Episode 5 of Tell Me That You Love Me, the new heartwarming romantic K-Drama series, arrived on ENA and Disney Plus on Monday, December 11, 2023. Kim Min-Jung has written the screenplay for the ongoing series, while Kim Yoon-Jin has helmed it. Acclaimed South Korean actors Shin Hyun-Been and Jung Woo-Sung star as the prime characters Mo-Eun and Jin-Woo in the series.
Followers of Tell Me That You Love Me have been eagerly waiting to see what the fifth episode brings to the table after the previous episode ends on an intriguing note with Jin-Woo being present in the audience for Mo-Eun’s play. Episode 5 has a series of feel-good moments as Mo-Eun and Jin-Woo become more comfortable with one another. However, the ending of the episode takes a different turn as Mo-Eun meets Jin-Woo’s ex-lover and classmate Song Seo-Kyung for the first time.
Tell Me That You Love Me Episode 5: Jin-Woo comes face-to-face with his ex-lover Song Seo-Kyung
Tell Me That You Love Me episode 5 begins with Mo-Eun staring at Jin-Woo in the audience. Seeing him all her worries and nervousness go away and she ends up giving a beautiful acting performance throughout the entire play. Although Jin-Woo does not understand all the dialogue of the play he still tries his best to understand every word by minutely looking at Mo-Eun’s performance.
After the play ends, Mo-Eun is showered with praises from the director and other cast members of the play. However, Jin-Woo leaves the theater without meeting her. She runs after him and expresses her heartfelt gratitude to him for showing her support and making her feel comfortable enough to perform on stage. It’s not only Mo-Eun, Jin-Woo also starts to have feelings for her. But both are quite oblivious to each other’s feelings.
Meanwhile, Mo-Eun’s parents accidentally see her acting on the television screen and get to know that she has been lying to them. They knew that she was preparing for the civil exam. However, they now learn that she is an aspiring actress. The whole situation leaves Mo-Eun quite upset.
Throughout the entire episode, the two spend some comforting time together, having coffee, playing piano and even having dinner with Jin-Woo’s friend Hong Ki-Hyun and his wife Eun So-Hee. Mo-Eun beautifully blends with his friend and his wife and all of them share a wonderful time. It seems quite obvious that Jin-Woo and Mo-Eun are starting to come even closer with time.
However, the feel-good mood of the episode changes at the end of the fifth episode of Tell Me That You Love Me as Jin-Woo’s classmate and ex-lover Song Seo-Kyung appears at the art center where both Jin-Woo and Mo-Eun work. Mo-Eun meets her first and gets to know that she is the new director of the art gallery.
Later, Jin-Woo comes face-to-face with Seo-Kyung and is utterly shocked to see her after such a long time. Mo-Eun is also present at that moment. As soon as he looks at Jin-Woo, she realizes that the two of them have a history. The episode ends right there.
