The Matchmakers Episode 6 ending explained: Why did Rowoon faint?

The Matchmakers Episode 6 begins with Soon-Deok (Cho Yi-Hyun) finding out that her matchmaking partner Jung-Woo (Rowoon) is the Prince of Gyeongwoonjae. He disguised himself as an inspector in front of her.

A heart-fluttering moment occurs when they meet to discuss the three sisters’ matchmaking case. Their fingers accidentally touch, however, none of them pull their hands back. They stare at each other while Jung-Woo asks her who would be his right match.

The K-drama episode further shows that Soon-Deok’s mother-in-law gets suspicious of her after finding Joo-Daek’s clothes. Meanwhile, Jung-Woo discovers that no older bachelors want to marry old maidens. The root cause is the rumors around the three sisters, especially the eldest one rumored to possess a Lady Ha Na’s spirit.

Soon-Deok, as matchmaker Joo-Daek, tells Jung-Woo that they should help solve the murder case of Lady Ha Na to get rid of the rumors. At the end of episode 6, Jung-Woo, Inspector Jung Soon-Goo (Huh Nam-Jun), Joo-Daek, and Maeng Sam-Soon (Jung Bo-Min) gather to discuss the case.

Interestingly, Jung-Woo’s chest pain begins when Sam-Soon and Soon-Goo get closer, indicating a potential match. For context, Jung-Woo is unaware of the fact that his condition worsens when he sees a potential couple or love around him. The episode ends with Rowoon’s Jung-Woo fainting as Sam-Soon and Soon-Goo’s banter brings them physically closer.
