Mufasa: The Lion King will hit theaters on December 20, 2024. This film will be the second installment in Disney’s Lion King franchise. The 2019 release, The Lion King, focused on Simba, the young lion prince and son of Mufasa. On the other hand, the upcoming film serves as a prequel, exploring the story of Mufasa and his rise to become the dominant lion in the jungle.

The trailer, released by Walt Disney Studios, has already generated impressive attention. The film will be available in multiple languages, including English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

JA few days ago, the Telugu trailer for Mufasa: The Lion King was released by Walt Disney Studios India. The trailer revealed that popular star Mahesh Babu will lend his voice to Mufasa in Telugu. Among the other cast members, Brahmanandam will voice Pumbaa, and Ali will play the role of Timon. Fans of Mahesh Babu are thrilled with this announcement and eagerly look forward to hearing his voice as Mufasa in theaters.

Mahesh Babu expressed his excitement on social media, stating on Twitter (X):

“A new dimension to the character we know and love! Extremely excited to be the voice of Mufasa in Telugu, and having been a massive fan of the classic, this is a special one for me! Long live the king.”

Besides this, in the Hindi version, Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan will voice Mufasa. Additionally, his son Aryan Khan will lend his voice to Simba. On the other hand, Abram Khan will voice Young Mufasa. Sanjay Mishra will voice Pumbaa, and Shreyas Talpade will voice Timon. However, this is not the first time when Shah Rukh and Aryan will be part of the franchise as they previously voiced in the 2019 film, The Lion King.

Overall, it will be interesting to see how the film performs at the box office and whether it achieves the same level of success as The Lion King (2019).
