Prabhas is currently busy in preparations for his upcoming film, Kalki 2898 AD, which is scheduled to release on June 27, 2024. Amidst the excitement, recent reports claim that director Prashanth Neel is focusing on Salaar 2, and that the magnum opus is expected to premiere by the end of 2024.
For those unversed, Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire premiered in theaters on December 22, 2023. The film received a positive response from the audience and emerged as the highest-grossing Telugu film of 2023. Helmed by Prashanth Neel, the film also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Easwari Rao, Jagapathi Babu, and others. The synopsis on Netflix reads, “The fate of a violently contested kingdom hangs on the fraught bond between two friends-turned-foes in this saga of power, bloodshed and betrayal.”
With 2 hours and 55 minutes runtime, the Central Board of Film Certification has awarded Salaar an ‘A’ Certificate. This certification indicates that the film restricts its audience to adults due to its intense action scenes and depiction of violence.
Prabhas’ Salaar 2 is expected to release in December 2024
Fans have eagerly anticipated updates about Salaar Part 2: Shouryanga Parvam since the conclusion of its first installment. Recent reports from Telugu360 suggest that director Prashanth Neel is currently focusing on the sequel’s script. According to reports, the film’s shooting is scheduled to start at the end of this month, May 2024. Additionally, the crew will film most parts in Ramoji Film City, promising high-octane sequences.
The makers plan to release Salaar 2 by the end of this year, coinciding with Christmas 2024. Further reports confirm that the makers will complete the shooting by October. Additionally, the director is working on NTR’s upcoming action-packed film under the tentative title NTR 31. Reports indicate that NTR will complete his impending shoots for Devara and War 2 before collaborating on Prashanth Neel’s film.
