Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan and his father, renowned filmmaker David Dhawan, are gearing up to light up the silver screen once again with their upcoming collaboration. With a legacy of successful comedies trailing behind them, their upcoming untitled project is going to be one to look out for.

Now, keeping the fans on toe, a recent press report has revealed the release date of Varun Dhawan’s upcoming movie.

Varun Dhawan’s next movie’s release date with father David Dhawan revealed

A recent press release announced that the eagerly awaited film is slated to hit theatres on October 2, 2025. This untitled project, backed by Tips Films and produced by Ramesh Taurani, is touted to be a ‘rollercoaster ride of emotions and laughter.’ Based on their previous works, it is still unsure whether the upcoming movie’s script is a reboot or an original one.

Reflecting on their previous collaborations, it’s evident that the Dhawans share a winning formula when it comes to entertaining audiences. It all began in 2014 with Main Tera Hero. A comedic entertainer featuring Varun Dhawan, Ileana D’Cruz, and Nargis Fakhri that resulted in box office success.

Their next venture, Judwaa 2, in 2017, proved to be another feather in their cap. A reboot of the 1997 classic, the film saw Varun Dhawan in a dual role, joined by Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu. The movie garnered praise for its high-energy performances and entertaining storyline.

However, not all of their collaborations met the same level of success. Varun Dhawan’s Coolie No. 1, released in 2020, failed to replicate the magic of its predecessors at the box office. Despite featuring a stellar cast, including Sara Ali Khan and Paresh Rawal, the film received mixed reviews.

With their upcoming project, Varun Dhawan and David Dhawan aim to reignite the magic of their earlier collaborations and deliver a film that will leave audiences laughing in the aisles.
