SS Rajamouli is basking in the success of his film RRR. The filmmaker’s last outing was a massive success in Japan, and it ran in theatres for more than 500 days. Rajamouli recently visited the country to attend a special screening of the action-thriller. He also tweeted about his visit to a Japanese anime studio. SS Rajamouli learns the making process of Japanese Anime
SS Rajamouli met anime creators Rui Kuroki and Kazuto Nakazawa in Japan. The filmmaker learned the process of making animated movies and shows. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the director said he enjoyed his time with the two creators. Sharing a photo with them, he wrote, “I was always curious about the process and making of fantastic Japanese anime. Thank you, Rui Kuroki-san and Kazuto Nakazawa-san, for the wonderful time. Thoroughly enjoyed our creative discussions. Looking forward…”
Reportedly, Rui Kuroki is a visual effects specialist, while Kazuto Nakazawa is a Japanese character designer and anime director. The two have already worked on many blockbuster series and movies, and Rajamouli’s tweet hinted at a possible collaboration. However, the director is yet to confirm anything. Moreover, he is currently focusing on his upcoming film with Mahesh Babu, tentatively titled SSMB 29.
Meanwhile, SS Rajamouli and his son SS Karthikeya also encountered an earthquake in Japan during their trip. Sharing the experience on X, Karthikeya wrote, “Felt a freaking earthquake in Japan just now!!! We were on the 28th floor, and slowly, the ground started to move, and it took us a while to realize it was an earthquake. I was just about to panic, but all the Japanese around did not budge, as if it had just started to rain!!” He added that he could check experiencing an earthquake off his list.
