In a recent event, Amazon Prime Video secured the OTT rights of various movies and unveiled new posters for upcoming web series and films. Among these reveals, the OTT giant also unveiled the new poster for the highly anticipated web series Panchayat Season 3.
Following widespread acclaim for the two previous seasons, fans have eagerly awaited the release of the third installment. Initially expected to premiere in December 2023 and later rumored for a Republic Day 2024 release, fans faced disappointment in both occurrences.
However, according to the latest reports from TheStatesman, fans can anticipate the arrival of Season 3 in the first week of December 2024. However, it is important to note that the official confirmation is still pending.
The official synopsis for Panchayat reads: “Panchayat is a comedy-drama, which captures the journey of an engineering graduate Abhishek, who for lack of a better job option joins as secretary of a panchayat office in a remote village of Uttar Pradesh.”
Panchayat Season 3 will arrive on Amazon Prime Video
Like its predecessors, Season 3 of Panchayat will premiere on Amazon Prime Video. Despite fans’ excitement for the OTT release date, the platform unveiled a new poster without specifying a release date. The OTT giant took to X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, “Navigating the murky waters of Phulera politics, Abhishek does his best to maintain his objectivity. #Panchayat3OnPrime #AreYouReady #PrimeVideoPresents.”
Along with the poster, the cast and crew names are also threaded. The new poster shows that the Panchayat’s cast members are looking in the same direction with great dilemma, promising that something big is coming.
Furthermore, during the event, the lead actor, Jitendra Kumar, took the mic and expressed his excitement about the upcoming season. He said, “Kaafi dhamal hoga, baaki saare interesting characters ki kahani dekhne ko milegi.” (There will be a lot of fun; the story of all the other interesting characters will be seen.)
Additionally, the makers revealed that Panchayat 3 will also be premiered in Tamil and Telugu languages. Unfortunately, the makers have not announced any release date yet. As anticipation builds, viewers eagerly await the unfolding of events in Panchayat Season 3.
