After a successful theatrical run, Dhanush’s latest release, Captain Miller, is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video. It was initially released in South Indian languages including Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. The audience from the Hindi Belt has been eagerly awaiting its Hindi version for many days and recently, the leading platform Amazon Prime Video has announced the Hindi version. Arun Matheswaran’s directional venture Captain Miller also features Shiva Rajkumar, Sundeep Kishan, Priyanka Arul Mohan, and Aditi Balan in prominent roles among others. The action-drama is set in British India when the anti-colonial freedom struggle is at its peak. It follows the story of a former British Army soldier leading a mutiny against the British to save his home village from destruction by the Britishers.
Despite facing tough competition with Ayalaan and Merry Christmas at the box office, Dhanush’s Captain Miller managed to mint millions. As of writing, it has received a rating of 6.7/10 with around 5.4k votes on IMDb.
Dhanush’s Captain Miller Hindi to release on Prime Video India
Recently, the popular OTT platform Amazon Prime India announced the date of the Hindi OTT version. The streaming platform revealed that the audience will access the Hindi version starting from March 8, 2024. Sharing this piece of news, the platform wrote, “Witness the rise of this revolution, coming soon in Hindi! #CaptainMillerOnPrime in Hindi, Mar 8.”
Now, those who experienced the theatrical release can relive their experience, and those who haven’t can experience the journey from their home comfort.
Apart from this, director Sekhar Kammula will bring actors Nagarjuna Akkineni and Dhanush for an upcoming film. Produced by Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan of Sree Venkateswara Cinemas and Sekhar Kammula’s Amigos Creations, the film is not titled yet. Also, it will be shot simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
