Mammootty‘s much-awaited horror thriller release, Bramayugam, finally hit theaters on February 15, 2024. The film has been simultaneously released in five Indian languages. Also, it has received positive reviews across the internet, with viewers applauding the actors. The story takes an unexpected turn when Thevan escapes slavery and discovers an ancient tradition that alters his destiny.

Notably, the movie adopts a black-and-white format to present the horror drama element, promising to deliver a spine-chilling cinematic experience. Bramayugam has a runtime of 2 hours and 19 minutes.

The black-and-white format of the film has ignited curiosity about Bramayugam’s day 1 box-office collection. According to Sacnilk, Mammootty film may earn $361K in India’s net collection on its first day at the box office.

Moreover, the movie faced a legal issue ahead of its theatrical release, due to which the makers had to change the name of the main character portrayed by Mammootty. Originally, the character’s name was Kunjumon Potti, but later, it was changed to Kodumon Potti.

Meanwhile, it will be interesting to see how the movie performs at the box office in its first week.
