Shark Tank India Season 3 Episode 16 Products: Altco, Without & More

Shark Tank India Season 3 Episode 16 saw another set of startups with unique ideas and products. From plant-based alternatives to recycled sunglasses and AI-powered devices, the tank was full of powerful pitches.

The business reality series is an Indian take on the American Shark Tank. It shows entrepreneurs pitching business ideas to a panel of investors, who decide whether to invest in their company based on the pitch. The series airs on Sony Entertainment Television and is available to stream on Sony LIV every Monday to Friday at 10 p.m.

Shark Tank India Season 3 Episode 16 had a panel featuring Aman Gupta (Co-founder & CMO of boAt), Anupam Mittal (Founder & CEO of Shaadi.com and People Group), Radhika Gupta (MD & CEO of Edelweiss MF), Peyush Bansal (Co-founder & CEO of Lenskart), and Ronnie Screwvala (Co-Founder and Chairperson of UpGrad).

Altco: Price, where to buy & more

Altco is a plant-based alternative dairy brand that provides alternative dairy drinks. The drinks are sourced from plants and are environmentally conscious. In this episode of Shark Tank India, the founders of Altco shared their vision for the product with the sharks and left them impressed.

The founders of Altco presented their products to the sharks and asked for a sum of $180K against an offer of 2% equity. Although the sharks loved their products, they did not bag a deal with any of them.

Altco, or The Alt Company, aims to embrace a plant-powered lifestyle and provide healthy alternatives to animal-derived products like milk. Their brand offers several categories: Oat Milk, Almond Milk, Soy Milk, and Alt Protein and Alt Delights. They also boast of environmentally friendly packaging to reduce the damage to the planet without compromising the taste of Alt Co products.

Altco products are available for purchase on their website and delivery platforms like BigBasket, Zepto, Blinkit, Swiggy, and Amazon. The price range for the products is somewhere between $3-6.

Without: Price, where to buy & more

Without by Ashaya is the future of recycling. The brand manufactures sunglasses and other products from 100% recycled plastic. This Pune-based social enterprise was the first in the world to create sunglasses from packets of chips. The founder presented his vision to the sharks and amazed them with its technology. The company offers products in three categories – sunglasses, eyeglasses, and jewelry (earrings and rings).

In episode 16 of Shark Tank India Season 3, the founder of Without presented his products to the sharks. He asked for $90K in exchange for 1% equity. Aman Gupta offered him $36K in exchange for 1% and $54 thousand on debt at a 10% interest rate for two years. Ronnie Screwvala and Peyush Bansal offered him $90K in exchange for 3% equity, and he took this deal.

Without products, they are available to buy on their website. The price range for the products is somewhere between $3-9, with an exceptional cost of $120 for prescribed sunglasses.

Kibo: Price, how to use & where to buy

Kibo is the ultimate solution by Trestle Labs. It helps the visually impaired listen to, translate, and digitize any printed, handwritten, and digital document. The founders of Trestle Labs presented their product to the sharks, leaving them astonished.

The company has multiple products in its portfolio – the Kibo Mobile App, which lets users choose any content to translate; the Kibo XS Device, which translates hardcopy or handwritten documents; and the Kibo Desk Web App. Currently, Kibo operates in over 22 countries and has converted content into 60+ global languages.

On this episode of Shark Tank India Season 3, the founders asked for $72K for 1% equity. Ronnie Screwvala and Peyush Bansal made the first offer of $72K for 10% equity. Meanwhile, Aman Gupta offered them $72K for 4% equity. The founders returned with a counteroffer of $72K for 1.5% equity and finally closed the deal with Peyush Bansal and Ronnie Screwvala for $72K in exchange for 6% equity.

The user needs to connect the USB cable to their laptop and black any document underneath Kibo to enable scanning. They can then choose their preferred language, and the device will translate it for them.
